In June 2009, Agnieszka Cenzartowicz, Executive Director, Project Poland, Chicago-Kent College of Law and Igor Solodovnik, Adjunct Professor, Chicago- Kent College of Law met with Dr. Olena Kibenko, Senior Partner, ILF at the ILF premises in Kharkiv, Ukraine. The first project that was launched was a pilot internship exchange project to enable oversees training for ILF lawyers and School of American Law (Chicago –Kent Overseas Training Program in Poland) graduates. Ms. Olena Kolisnychenko, Senior Attorney from ILF spent a month (November 3, 2009 – December 2, 2009) in Warsaw with a local office of an international law firm. During her stay in Warsaw she also traveled to Wroclaw to participate in a course on Contracts organized by School of American Law – a joint project of Chicago – Kent College of Law and the University of Wroclaw. The course was taught by the Director of SAL Wroclaw, Prof. Richard Warner who is also a member of Projustice’s Program Board. Ms. Kolisnychenko delivered a presentation on Ukrainian legal system to the students of SAL Wroclaw. While in Warsaw, Ms. Kolisnychenko met with Vice-President of Projustice, Judge Dariusz Sielicki. Mr. Krzysztof Wasilewski, a graduate of School of American Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration, the University of Gdansk is expected to start a one-month internship with ILF in Kharkiv in February 2010. Ms. Olena Noda, Junior Attorney, ILF will be Mr. Wasilewski’s mentor. |
